OC Superior: September 20, 2010

Posted by buzzwordz in Buzzwordz Trivia, CO, Jessica Austgen, Old Chicago-Superior, Superior, CO.

Our trivia teams were back in full force last Friday at Old Chicago in Superior and they were all in it to win it. We had most of our regulars there on Friday along with a whole bunch of newbies, so it was a nice mix of smart people. Smart people who really, really need to look at their state flags… I’m just sayin’ šŸ™‚

Okay, onto the results! The winner of Round One was the appropriately named Mmmmm Beer:

The Second Round champ was Deep Fried Monkey, who was also the champion for the entire evening. Good job, Monkey!

Our second place team for the evening was Milk Was a Bad Choice, who rocked out in the 3rd Round and almost caught up to our Monkey Champion up there. Almost, but nooooot quite. Congrats, Milk.

Also playing, we had my favorite Joss Whedon-a-philes The Browncoats. I told them that if they won, I’d play the Firefly theme in their honor… but they didn’t. Next week, guys! Bring it!

Rocktober also rocked it all night long, along with Free Beer, Team Rice, Joe & Bruce and Boats n’ Ho’s. I just need to say how AMAZING this entire group is with sports trivia… I had to google all the sports questions and still got most of the names wrong, but all my players had the answer slips to me almost before I finished reading the questions. Daaaaaaamn, guys! Color me impressed.
