Castle Bar and Grill meets the Food Channel July 2, 2010

Greetings from Littleton’s Castle Bar and Grill. They have a sign posted that they serve the best Hamburger on Broadway. Being a red blooded American male, I love my cheeseburgers. I figured that after my night of Trivia Hosting I would try one of these burgers.

In a word. Yum.

Very few things bug me more than food that is just tossed on a grill without seasoning. Waiting until the meat is almost cooked, then throwing something on at the end to add flavor, is just wrong. Worse is when people add ketchup or steak sauce for flavor. If you need to add something at the end, it’s too late.

All day, every Tuesday, the Castle Bar and Grill, offers this tasty special. Buy one burger, get one free. I’m not talking little slider style, two bites and you are done . But a full size 2 for 1 deal. And the price is comparable to a burger from the Golden Arches Supper Club. But a helluva lot better. Come on down and try some.

On Friday nights, they have karaoke. And on Saturday, they always have live entertainment. Check out their website at www.castlebarandgrill.com.

Oh yeah, they still play Texas hold em and Trivia every Wednesday at 8:00.

Going Downhill started off the night, taking the first round with a strong finish. Team Green was  second and a 2 way tie between the Royal Bitches and the Wolfpack.

Second round  went to Going Downhill. Wolfpack and Royal Bitches tied again, this time for second.  One Dollar Cat Scoop ( An homage to a chinese restaurant) took fourth.

Final round saw the Wolfpack take first, edging Going Downhill by a point and the Royal Bitches by two.

The final score was Going Downhill with the overall victory, Wolfpack taking the silver, and the Royal Bitches bronze.

Stop by and try the burgers. Tell them Brent sent you. You will not be

disappointed.
