After two weeks off, I’m glad to be back!

Tonight turned out to be a tough set of trivia, which made for a close, close, close battle each round.

Heading into the night, it looked like What Would Batman Do? would be the team to beat. They had won the last 3 or 4.  So for Round 1, it was no surprise that it ended in a tie-break between WASP and What Would Batman Do? Batman won.  Again no surprise.

And all other players were not far behind: Balls & Chains, BedRocks, Heathers, and Tom Sellick’s Mustache.

We had James Evanson & The Crumpetts join for Round 2.  But it was Balls & Chains who were as surprised as anybody that they ended up winning the round.

I thought a little extra beer would help those struggling with the trivia for the night, so I threw out a Bonus Beer Question.  WASP was only 18 years away from the answer, but Batman was 17 years away, so closer by 1 year!  WASP was totally stressin’ at this point.

So we head into round 3 with two new teams – Wombats and Wrist Deep.

And heading into the final round, 4 teams were separated by 1.5 points!

Balls & Chains won again, but only 1/2 point ahead of WASP (again stressin’) and BedRocksBatman had dropped a few key points behind them all.

So, there was another TIE for top points overall… and WASP was one of those tied!  Fortunately, I had two prizes so they went to WASP and Balls & Chains.  Finally WASP got something.  So the four teams that played all night, were separated by only 2 points – now that’s what I call close.

Thanks to the hardcore players and the casual players alike.  With tough trivia, the use of Style Points became really important.  And they provided plenty of entertainment this night – we may always remember Jenna Jameson!

Ciao for now,

– Keith
