For a night that started with only 4 teams, it sure was a brain-burner.  We added 4 teams for round 2 and lost 2 for round 3 – but despites the comings and goings it was a tough battle each and every round.

Jacaré and Team Us (who weren’t even going to play to start with) ended up tied for round 1.  Team Us won – see, I told you to play!

Round 2 saw Jacaré take and early lead and not let go.  TBA made a valiant effort to catch them at the end but finished 1/2 point behind.

BISP and Team Us made a go of it as well but then made a go for the exit not finishing round 3.

But we had Blarney Buddies, Laine 90X, Ragtime, and Bestest Adult Friends,  join in for round 2, and all posted good 2nd round scores.

So when we had the Bonus Beer Question, and Jacaré got the answer EXACTLY, it seemed that they were destined to finish out the evening as top winners.

But TBA taught us that they can never be counted out.  As with the last two weeks, they laid low thru the early rounds but within striking distance, and strike they did.  TBA nailed the last questions to come out on top for Round 3 and pass Jacaré for top points overall.

But we had a 3-way tie for 2nd in Round 3 and so we had to use a tie-break for them.  In contention were Jacaré, Laine 90X, and Bestest Adult Friends.  Not a surprise that Jacaré won the tie-break.

Shouts go out to Ragtime and Blarney Buddies for putting up a close-but-not-close-enough fight.

I think the crowds are starting to pick up again, once everyone gets the hang of an 8pm start time.  So come out for the competition… it’s fierce!

Ciao for now,

– Keith
