**Well, they tried to make me cancel trivia, but I said “NO NO NO!”**

After a little persuasion and a phone call, trivia DID INDEED happen tonight at Brix.  My apologizes to anyone who was told we would not be playing, especially Whiskey Dick who had multiple team members stop in and ask only to come in again and have us half way through the game.  I hope that first round helped relive the pain… = )

Through it all, tonight’s two top teams ended the game with matching scores!  ONE small number separated their Tie Breaker answer but it was enough to get D.I.B a first place nod and my girls from King Prawns, under this week’s alias of I AM DRUNK (VODKA=BAD) with 2nd.  Nice job to Superbad… it pays to hang with the parents some times.  Jason, also a valiant try playing solo as Cumming from Behind.  Pent-up needs buddy?

Oh, glorious day when the trivia is workable!  Well, I promised you last week that you would see some cha-cha-cha- changes to this week’s set (for the better of course).  From the scores and resounding cheers, I think it is safe to say that I delivered that promise to you all for a much more intense, fun and EXCITING game of Buzzwordz Trivia!

Before we move on, I have to tell you… If you have not picked up this week’s edition of Westword, you are missing out!  Denver’s pub-trivia boom is this week’s cover story and guess what premiere entertainment company was featured? Why, you guessed it, BUZZWORDZ TRIVIA!!!  Grab it before it’s gone to learn about why you play with the best!

On to tonight’s event!  Great scores tonight and lots of great competition kept our teams on their toes…. Allergic to Pencils and Wings Fans both solo teas tonight and did very well for just one brain a piece!  Where in the World is Carmen San Diego a.k.a. King Prawns gave it a GREAT go tongiht, just shy of placing!  Hot Sauce! Hot Sauce! Hot Sauce! (think Miller Lite) get edged out by ONE point from Top 2!  Once the dust settled, Trashcat, from their full name, Trashcat is not Amused… told me as we started they were going to take it tonight but couldn’t stay up with Whiskey Dick, who tonight left with an impressive 4-week winstreak!  Can anyone stop these guys?!  Maybe it’s you….

Wow…. tonight was tough!  Who wrote those questions?!  Oh wait, it was me…. I got the message loud and clear about tonight’s difficulty.  Come back next week and you will see a different style of questions written, I assure you.

Thanks to all those who played; lots of returning teams!!! It was a tight game… Hardwood, Sultans of Smut, Good w/ a Bow Staff, and STORM-gine  all gave it a good go.  Adios Mr. Spaceman! ok walking with 2nd and a two-in-a row winner, Whiskey Dick!! Well, well here’s to the high scores!!! Six great teams and six great scores.  Hey Dum Dum, Give Me a Gum Gum (aka King Prawns) representing again! (and I got the name right this time) = )

It was close the whole game, finally coming down to Something Funny and the almighty duo of Tobin and Jason.  With the final tie breaker finally deciding it, Something Funny took the win, leaving Tobin and Jason to wollow in their PBRs.  (j/k)

Greetings and salutations!  Another spectacular evening at the ‘ol Anti-bistro.  A lot of smart cookies in the house last night.  Another HUGE thanks to my good friends, the King Prawns, making an appearance at all three of my gigs this week! (I think I feel a little tear forming…) = )

What’s in a Name?, an awesome family coming in just for trivia (woo hoo!) took top honors and Team BARE (not to be confused with BEAR) rallied it up at the end and grabbed the second spot.  Awesome job to all our teams; tons of great answers and scores!

This gig is going to be great!  6 teams tonight, not as great as last week but did again have people come in just for us… I love you too.

 This was my first time writing my own trivia; I think it went pretty well.  Thanks to Tobin and Dan for the feedback.  Winona’s Big Brown Beaver taking top honors tonight with a dominating 36 points!!! Nicely done gentlemen.  Wings Fan grabbing 2nd place.  A shared love for DMB will always get you at least one point… = )

Hey all my Brix players and fans! It’s your host Kyle here keeping you up-to-date on all the excitment from last night’s SWEET start. If you haven’t been there before, it is definitely a place you want to check out…. You will find our awesome game every Sunday night starting at 7 p.m.

This opening night was probably my best ever. After overcoming some technical issues (getting locked in the office, no pens, so on and so forth…), we got off to a rockin’ start! Every group in the place played the first round! I have never had that happen before and it really made me excited that I got such a warm reception. HUGE THANK YOU to Erin and my lil’ Chi-town girl for keeping the crowd well fed and refreshed!

Scores started out a little slow but they picked up in the last round. Team Mark, all the way from Liverpool, jumping in with a third place notch on the belt (P.S. this is my only gig with no third place prize; we’ll work on that…)  Team Buckeye… sneaking up out of nowhere!  Landing some big questions at the end was good enough to take second (and a $25 Brix Gift Cert.!)  But no one could stop the incredible nerd powers of Dumb Brain Cells, coming in storng from the beginning.  They walked away with a smile on their faces, beer on their breaths and a $40 Brix Gift Cert. in hand.

Nice job by all my teams Sunday night!  Team D, thanks for the shot! You guys better come back this week with Mom in tow…
