Hey there Buzzwordz Junkies….long time, no talk. That’s my fault. I know, I’ve let you all down. But it’s ok, I’m back now and things are great.

Tuesday night at the Big Apple Cafe was another great night. The crowd had been weakening a bit lately, but we rebounded Tuesday and ended up with a great game! I guess all this craptacular weather we’ve been having in DFW has kept most of the trivia players at home. Thankfully, the clouds parted just long enough for most players to escape from their homes and join us for some trivia.

With several regulars in the bar, it was no surprise when Team Help! jumped out of the gates with an easy opening round victory. However, shocking everyone was Team Bar-3 (the bartenders) storming out and winning round 2 on the night. The most intriguing aspect of the game was the addition of Team OE in the 2nd round. They joined in and quickly jumped toward the top of the leaderboard. Although they only played 2 rounds, their score was only a few points behind the winners. It left every team in the bar wondering what might have been….

Although Team DJ, DJay & the DeeJays wasn’t able to secure a round victory, the were very happy to walk away with second place overall. It’s proof that if you play all three rounds, you are never out of contention. After a monster final round, the leaderboard showed Team Bar-3 as the overall winner. However, since the bartenders do not collect prizes, Team Help! (only 1 point back) and DJ, DJay & the DeeJays took home the gift certificates.

The competition is stepping up at the Big Apple, so I encourage all of you to bring your friends out and give your team the best shot possible. The more the merrier, right?
