YAY for Tuesdays at the Glenn! YAY for Buzzwordz!! YAY FOR PREACHER!!!!!! Tuesday at the Glenn was a blast. The new sound system is working like a charm, my music selection is AMAZING as anyone will tell you, and, at last, the wonderful outdoor patio space, though missing the brilliant typeface of the Buzzwordz slideshow, do get to hear the beautiful sing-songy melody of my voice.

Round 1 and the competition is fierce. Most everyone knew the hot air balloon, a few knew the Atlantic Ocean, but almost no one knew Death Cab for Cutie. The one team that knew it, however, Gods of Wrong Answer, kept that pace the entire round and blew out the competition by a comfortable margin of 1 point for the win.

Round 2 and I’m happy to report that almost everyone was savvy to the rival Shelbyville and the capital Capital City on the Simpsons. The round was humming along just fine and then, that moment that every host dreads/releshis when I had to dash the hopes and dreams of contestants ever where and correct them on a beer question. No, wort is NOT correct, wort comes after the mashing process in which the starch is added, don’t question me MY WORD IS LAW!!! Again, with their mutant-like knowledge of pointless trivia, team Gods of Wrong Answers won he round (this time by a bit more significant margin).

Round 3 and we start out with a correction! Truman qualifies as a president that was elected in (his re-election for a second term came after his assumption of the office when Roosevelt died, but he was elected nonetheless.) Skip to the end, and we finish in the way we start, since the question didn’t specify Jell-O brand Gelatin, just Jell-O brand products, Coconut is an acceptable answer. Despite these minor and insignificant redactions, I’m still right about the beer, and that’s what’s important. With the win hinged on the strength of a pudding pop, Gods of Wrong Answers won, yet again, sealing the sweep for tonight. Congratulations to all the teams that played FOP, Pimp ‘N’ Ho, Optimus Prime, Bonnie & Clyde, Mad Dog, and El Capitan. You are all winners in my book, just, you know, not anyone else’s book, so it’s kind of meaningless, I mean I never even look in my book, ask my student advisor, he’ll tell you. But I digress. See you next Tuesday EVERYONE!

Signing off, this is Preacher.
