Lazy Dog – BUDWEISER Cooler Anyone? January 19, 2012

If you’re in need of a cooler then you should probably play trivia at the Lazy Dog. Last week we gave away a sweet Broncos cooler and this week we gave away…a BUDWEISER cooler on wheels with an Ipod hookup! Pretty sweet! Oh and it gets better–next week we give away a GRILL BABY! I’m very excited about this even though I will not be in the running for any prizes.
This week the teams were neck and neck most of the time. 6 Guys came in first in the first round but said they were “disappointed in their performance” for the rest of the night. Even though they came in second overall. The Hosers came in first in Round 2 and tied with Team 24 for first in round 3. Overall the Hosers came out on top and rolled away the beautiful Budweiser cooler.

I had the chance to sub at Lazy Dog last night. It’s where our Benchwarmers location used to be so it was good to be back. While there weren’t round by round prizes, there was one super sweet prize at the end–A Broncos cooler! At the end of the night it was the QWhiz that came out on top, followed closely by the Special Ed’s. Well done all!

Everyone came out for the Christmas themed trivia night. We had the best turnout yet! The bar was packed with people! We had Jennifernilla, Utah, The Ace Squad, Hot for Teacher, Team Sandos, Plaxidently Shot Myself, OMGWrong Answer, The Short Bus, Team 40, Team Big Girls. Hot for Teacher won first round, Jennifenilla took the round of shots for the second round, and we had a tie breaker between Jennifernilla and The Ace Squad with Jennifernilla winning by their guess of two years! Nice work!

Buzzwordz live trivia game with Host Jamie and Bartender Sarah had seen the return of reigning teams of past. This week a subdued craziness overtook all that entered. Congratulations to all our participants who came and showed their might: Team Jesse Miller, Team Harry B, Team P-Nub, Team Salt and Pepper, Team Texas Boys, and Team Lars. Hope to see you all round the hive again real soon. As for our placing teams I’ve already been assured of their return to the arena of funk. The Dudes won first place with Team Jenron coming in second and Team Just Me a very close third. Congratulations and thank you.
Many of you have commented to me how much more difficult playing is without the use of TV’s, moreover, how you all don’t have the same experience without the visual aids. So next week I will do my utmost best to bring in my own screen to place behind me for all of you enjoy Buzz.

My second week at Jose O’Shea’s was wonderful! The teams made me feel right at home. We had Juan Baxters, Bazinga, Team Jebow, Blackout, Danger Zone, and the Belmar Bunch. Team Jebow took first place for round one, Danger Zone surprised themselves with round two, and for the same Team Jebow took the margarita glasses while Bazinga took second place. We will not have trivia on Dec 6 due to the Holiday Party (rumor has it the party is AMAZING, so you should still come to the bar), so I will see everyone in two weeks!

Gaining even more popularity than before seen is Buzzwordz Trivia at Buffalo Wild Wings Academy on Wednesdays at 8 with Jamie. Nobody can resist. The teams multiply weekly. Thank you Team Becce, Team Reed, Team Mevan, Team Best of the Best of the Best, The Tool, and Team Culver Sux for a great show of brain sweat. Good times! Congratulations to Team Smoking Section for bringing in their first bronze, Team Back Street Boys for bringing in their first silver and Team Kristine for bringing in their first gold. Good job everyone. Hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgivings. And don’t forget anyone has a chance to win free food every Wednesday at 8PM.

Tuesday night was my first night hosting at Jose O’Shea’s. I’ve got to say: I am impressed! Everyone in the bar was extremely friendly and welcoming. Plus who can deny the free taco bar?!? We had Team Jennifernilla, 3 Amigos, The Juan Baxters, Wizards, The Short Bus, Turkey Trots, and Anne’s People. It was an exciting first round with a 3-way tie between Team Jennifernilla, Short Bus, and 3 Amigos. Team Short Bus won the first round of shots, Anne’s People won the second round, and The Juan Baxters won second place while Team Jennifernilla won first place.
My apologies in regards to the pictures — they did not turn out well at all.

The Wizards must have some powers at Jose O’Shea’s! They won this week with 38 points! We had a second place tie-breaker between Jennifernilla and Jose’s Slaves and Jennifernilla took home the silver! Sandusky’s shower drill was very clever in the way that their name was entertaining to most of us. Chew Choo was new to the game and they had a great time! Staff Blues almost cured their blues by coming in third, looks like they will have to try again next week at Jose O’Shea’s!

Great game at Lazy Dog on Wednesday night! We had four teams playing, and our usual winners Crazy Bitches did not win. The Steves came in first with a commanding score of 27 and got a nice Bud Light Lime cooler! Something Special made some solid moves and beat out Stinky Pinky for second place. Catch you after Thanksgiving at Lazy Dog!

After brief stint at Lazy Lube BW3′s was back with audio smackin trivia this week, and what a close game it was with fiveteams swapping spit, errr, the lead the entire time. Thanks Team Sam, Team Pedro, Team Sloth, Team CU Suckers and Team Bob/Tina for showing off their enormous craniums. Do those things have radar? Congratulations to Team Yankee Southerner and Cheesebread for pulling off their first and very anticipated placement this week. Coming in Second right out of left field was Team Vikings. Too bad they’re loosing a vibrant member of their team next week. Substitution! And last but not least the golden knob goes to The Dude(s). We look forward to utilizing B-dubbs brand spankingly revamped video delivery system. Thank you for your support. And don’t forget to bring your yearbooks next weeks.
